私はカタリーナです。九州在住のカナダ人で、香りやキャンドルが大好きです。YouTubeチャンネル（@scentgourmand）では高級フレグランス（とハンドバッグ）のレビューをしており、2025年には香りを楽しみながら新たなスキルに挑戦する手段としてキャンドル作りを始めました。このプロセス（キャンドル芯のテストに伴うあらゆるイライラも含めて！）が本当に楽しいと気づき、販売するのも面白いと思ったのです。こうして「てげむじい」（宮崎弁で「超かわいい」の意味）が誕生しました。
日本の香り、特に宮崎とその周辺地域は、私のキャンドル香りの多くに最初のインスピレーションを与えてくれました。私の「ニッポン」キャンドルラインは、第二の故郷を思い出させてくれます：マンゴー、日南の海岸線、桜島火山、折り紙、カッパと呼ばれる伝説の生き物、ヒノキの木、緑茶、プリンなど。創作に惹かれる他の香りも、自身のルーツや旅、あるいは収集する高級フレグランスからインスピレーションを得ています。
TegeMujiiブランドの基準は高く、最高品質のワックス、芯、香料を組み合わせ、優れたキャンドル性能を実現することを目指しています。そのため国内外の様々な供給元から材料を調達し、試行錯誤に多くの時間（と費用）を費やしています。大豆ワックスを使用した作品もありますが、Tegemujiiの主力キャンドルラインではココナッツアプリコットワックスを採用。環境負荷が最も低く、香り立ちの優れた美しいキャンドルが作れるからです。このワックスは非常に柔らかく、肌に（安全に）すり込むこともできます。
芯には通常の綿芯を使用しますが、心地よい音と高級感から木芯を好んで使っています。全てのキャンドルは自宅で丁寧に手作業で注がれています。素敵な雰囲気を創り出し、香りによっては非常にノスタルジックな気分にさせてくれます。

I'm Cathrine, a Kyushu-based Canadian who loves fragrance and candles. I review fine fragrances (and handbags) on one of my YouTube channels (@scentgourmand) and started making candles in 2025 as another way to enjoy fragrance and try my hand at a new skill. After recognizing how much I enjoyed the process (including all the frustrations that surround candle wick-testing!) I thought it would be a cool idea to sell them. てげむじい (TegeMujii - Miyazaki slang for "super cute") was born.
Japan (and more narrowly - Miyazaki and surrounding areas), was actually the first inspiration for many of my candle scents. My Nippon candle line reminds me of my adopted home: mangos, the Nichinan coast line, the Sakurajima volcano, origami paper, mythical creatures called Kappa, Hinoki wood, green tea, Japanese pudding, and more. Other fragrances I am drawn to for my creations are either inspired by my own origins and travels, or by the fine fragrances that I collect.
My standards for the TegeMujii brand are high - I aim to use the finest quality waxes, wicks, and fragrances in a combination that allows for superior candle performance. This means I spend a lot of time (and money) experimenting with materials from different providers in Japan and abroad. Although I sometimes have creations with soy, my main Tegemujii candle line uses coconut apricot wax because it is the most environmentally-friendly option and because it produces lovely candles with great scent throw. The wax is so soft that you can rub it (safely) into skin.
Although I use regular cotton wicks, I prefer woodwicks for their soothing sound and luxurious vibe. All candles are hand-poured in my home with care. They create a lovely ambiance, and depending on the scent, can be very nostalgic.
